European Urban Populatons

Purpose

Link download of European Urban Population data on NUTS 2 level and provide a few descriptive maps.

Concerns

I am worried that in the early years, some cities appear to be missing. For example, in 100 we only see population estimates for Spain and Italy.

Maps and plots

Below we show a map of the locations and sizes of cities, as well as the population by NUTS 2 region. Click on a tab to see the map and largest cities in that year.
